This gallery catalogue is made to document the successful May-June 2011 25 Day Traverse Expedition to Denali - the highest peak in North-America (Alaska). We ascended via the West Butress of the 6194 meters high summit, and descend on the North side to Wonder Lake, via the Harper's icefalls, the edge-formed Karstens-ridge, the Muldrow-glacier and across the McKinley river-system. The 25 days adventure epitomizes my conception of a symbiosis between my twin passions for photography and mountaineering in different formats. The photographic equipment used on this expedition is based on Panasonic's Lumix LX5 camera with an added electronic viewfinder (for those brightest of light situations) and an add on wide-angle lend which extends the effective range of the zoom from 18 to 90 mm (135 format equivalent). This was satisfactory for almost any photographic challenge, save eagle photo-journalism!
